It is safe
Trance is a natural occurring phenomenon that we all go in and out of many times during our day without even knowing it. When in an induced trance, you are in control at all times, and with the level of trance required for successful therapy I cannot make you do anything that you do not want to do, or make you reveal anything you do not want to reveal. Some clients say afterwards that the experience felt a little like day-dreaming, but actually it also often heightens the awareness of the senses too. Some people ask me “what if I don’t wake up? Well, if you were left in an induced trance you would either fall asleep and when ready wake up naturally or just decide to open your eyes and end the trance yourself.
What is hypnosis?
Everyone goes in and out of natural hypnotic trances every day, without perhaps knowing it: when a person has been so absorbed in a film or book that hours seemed to fly by. Driving somewhere and arriving at your destination without being aware of exactly how they got there; realising that someone is talking to you, but not being able to their words later. All these are examples of common everyday trances we all experience. Hypnosis is the same. By utilizing these naturally occurring trance states I will be able to speak directly to your unconscious mind to make positive suggestions and find solutions to current issues by uncovering the thoughts, feelings and memory patterns that led to the issue and which continues to maintain it in the present time.
What does hypnosis feel like?
Every person’s experience of hypnosis is different. Some say afterwards that it felt like daydreaming and is a very pleasurable, enjoyable sensation. You will be conscious of what is going on around you but you may feel like drifting away into and out of your own thoughts.
The state of hypnosis is in fact one of heightened awareness where your mind is aware of many more things than is possible in the conscious state. The majority of people say how relaxed they felt during and after hypnosis and this feeling can often continue long after the session is over.
Can anyone be hypnotised?
Yes. Anyone can be hypnotised because all hypnosis is self hypnosis, therefore as long as you want to be hypnotised I can guide you into that state.
